I’ve built a simple calculator to give you an idea of how much you’ll have to live off in retirement if you keep doing what you’re doing.
It’s impossible to tell you the exact amount. I have no idea what’s going to happen with interest rates, inflation, the stock market or changes to social security benefits.
But instead of saying "it’s too hard", I’ve pulled out the key factors that will have the biggest impact on your financial future and I’ve used long term averages for the other numbers.
The reason I built this is so you have at least some idea of where you are heading. Instead of no idea.
Because what gets measured, gets improved. Once you have a rough idea, you can make decisions about whether you’re happy with the path you’re on, or if you need to make some changes.
